Special Needs Care in Heathfield

I have been doing care work in the community for almost 5 years now with an Uckfield based company and have done all my training with them also. (certificates available upon request) I have worked alongside many clients with special needs of all ages with a wide variety of needs.

| Hi! I am Charissa (Riss, Sissa for most children) and recently got married. I have worked in London as a nanny, but did not want to be away from my husband that much anymore, so I am looking for occasional nanny / babysitting work, as once a nanny, always a nanny! Starting early as a teen I babysat a lot / then after high school, I moved from the Netherlands to America to work as an au pair. I took care for 45 hours a week of a 2 year old, and a few months later her newborn brother was born. I took care of the both of them for 2 years. Then I moved to England, where I took care off a 5 month old, and 1,5 years later also of his newborn sister. I took care of them for 3 years. Moving on, because of covid, I nannyied for a family for 60 hrs a week - a 2 year old, a 10 month old and a year later their newborn sister was born. I had all 3 for 60 hours a week - with the littlest one being highly special needs. I have also worked in a nursery for 6 months or so - but to be honest nannying is way more my thing! I have got childcare qualifications plus I am a qualified maternity nurse.

| I have worked with children and young adults between the ages of 4 and 25 for over a year and have been a big part of a family’s life for 6 years. I have become the honorary sister of their severely disabled 6 year old and autistic 10 year old.
