Special needs care assistant/ Midwifery Student
|
I can describe myself as being considerate, patient, loving, calm, non-judgmental and I understand that as a special needs assistant I would need to have all these qualities. Last year I successfully completed a work placement at a nursery. This allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills as working with pre-school children and their families required me to be lovable, caring and easily approachable. It also made me more resilient, responsible and increased my time management skills. I am a good listener and able to give advice to others. As a prefect, my role was to be a mentor to 1st year pupils which required patience, sympathy and compassion as I help them with friendship issues as they settle into Secondary School. I tutor friends for Higher science and History. I highly value the importance of being physically active to promote good mental health and I believe in motivating others to do the same. I was asked by my school to help out a young girl who has eye sight difficulty to get on the bus and drop her off at home. By work with you I feel that I would not only bring with me my knowledge but many skills and talents to make it the best experience for me and my peers.
