I currently house/animal sit for family friends and have looked after: dogs (all breeds and ages), horses (all breeds and ages/disciplines), cats (all breeds and ages), hamsters/rabbits/ Guinea pigs/mice/rats, tortoise and Chickens/ducks. I often look after the animals in their own home to relieve stress of moving around and love taking dogs for long walks (if appropriate). I am an animal lover; grateful help anyone with the care of their animals
| I have a love for animals that’s reciprocated and, while I’m looking to earn income additional to my job at OUP, more than this, I’d love to be able to spend my free time helping owners with their animals when needed. I’ve owned 2 dogs, grown up with rabbits, cats and fish. I currently live with my sister’s cat following her move to the USA (Norwegian Forest Cat) in addition to my own cat (Domino) - a British short hair who I’ve trained to fetch, as well as ask for things when he needs them. Although he’s short hair, he takes a lot of grooming which I complete regularly. My late dog, CrackerJack, sadly had to be put down after having genetic nerve damage in his back. During the last few deteriorating weeks of his life I worked from home to be with him, carried him up and down the stairs (30KG) and massaged his leg cramps multiple times a day. In addition to the above, I also took in a dehydrated fledgling Jackdaw which, while I brought back to health, bonded with me. I completed wing exercises until he took his first flight across my room and I was finally able to return him to his mum and dad (he rode on my shoulder the entire journey until he flew into his tree) My transport is a bicycle, and Tier 5 limits me to OX28 and near
