In my current role as a K9 Carer I participate in duties such as cleaning the kennels, general cleaning of the work place, exercising, feeding/watering, assessing dogs behaviour, assisting the dog warden with stray dogs, teaching basic training to the dogs and generally taking care, interacting/socialising and making the dogs stay with us as happy as possible. As a veterinary care assistant, I carry out duties such as giving medicated and non-medicated bathing/grooming, nail clipping, giving prescribed medication, assisting the vet with euthanasia of the dogs, raising the vein in the dogs’ leg for the vet to carry out the euthanasia.
