Dog Sitters in Nelson

| Hi, I’m Melissa or mel as some might like to call me, I’m a qualified profession dog groomer and I’m currently doing a course on animal management. I currently am looking for customers to join my new dog walking business. I am promoting a Half price discount of £5 per 30 minute walk for the first 20 customers.

| I'm soon to retire from the NHS and am looking to take on a small amount of hours during the week. Would consider dog sitting on a part time basis or just walking preferably in the Nelson area.

| Unfortunately a while ago my lovely alaskan malamute passed, and I would love to fill that space in my heart once again with a new dog company. As it is just a while I cant buy myself a new puppy. Everyone who has/had a dog would understand why. I absolutely love nature and long walks and thats why I decided that I can help someone else with his dogs! I would give your dog a lot of love, also training if its needed. I will make sure that your dog is safe at all time and has everything it needs.

| I am a student and I don’t have time as of yet for a full time job so this would be ideal as it will feel like a hobby as well as a job. I have plenty of personal experience as I have an energetic American Akita who is 8 years old. I take him for a daily walk for around 1hr to allow him to breathe in the fresh air and keep his body active. I am always mindful to tidy up after he has done his business and we go for small jogs and play football or fetch with his favourite ball. On our walks I sometimes take the opportunity to brush his coat to keep him looking fresh. I have also done some basic obedience training with him to teach him gentle discipline. I enjoy spending most of my free time with him to show him affection and make him feel loved. Although I don’t have any professional experience I feel that won’t hinder my ability, as my love for animals is what will make me suitable. I obtain the correct knowledge on how to keep a dog under the right control to keep everyone safe whilst on a walk as well as having fun with it. I enjoy walking around nature sites and what better than to have a cute doggy beside me!

I also have 3 dogs of my own . I learned dogs communicate by energy and vibes ... And have a unique body language of their own . They are very good followers ,but can get mischievous if not guided and encouraged in the proper manner . I have studied and observed . How to hold the lead so your dog feels secure and is safe on his/her walk. When your dog is anxious and ways to calm them . I will always let the dog come to me . As I gain trust with them . If the process is slow ... Then that is how we will be. I will not charge for this period of time. Dogs are very good judges of Character ... So if your looking for the safest hands to put in charge of your fur baby .Let your dog decide and Look no further .
