I'm quite enthusiastic mainly because I genuinely love animals.

From a young age I've always grown up with animals around me - and I've loved each one as much as the other. Being at uni far from home, I don't get to see my pets as often anymore, so not only would I want to make the most out of improving my own mental health by being around animals, but I would also like to be able to help ensure they are getting the enrichment they desire.
As much as I love learning about animals that I've already worked with, I love learning about new ones - I'm especially enthusiastic about reptiles, however. (Currently own about 45-50)
I've also worked at Dartmoor Zoo for three years as a volunteer, so in that regard had daily rounds for animals and am perfectly happy to do the same for other pet owners; currently getting my reference done if this is wanted by anybody!
I currently own snakes (ball pythons, western hognoses and corns), bearded dragons, a leopard gecko, two cats and a dog, but I have had experience with parrots (jenday and sun conures), ferrets, rabbits, and of course have had more cats and dogs in the past! I admit I get carried away when talking about my animals, especially the snakes, so be careful to not open that can of worms, unless you are curious. :)
