| I set up Furry Best Friends so that I could provide a dog walking and pet sitting service in the North Devon area. My name is Sally and I love animals. I have a 7 year old Springer Spaniel and 2 cats called Coco and Alfie. My pets are my world and when I need help caring for them I need to know that they are cared for by people who will love them and treat them the way I do. I walk and care for a variety of dogs with a mix of ages, breeds and needs. I run group walks for dogs who like to socialise and one to one or pairings for dogs with more complex needs. I am PetPlan Sanctuary insured and DBS checked. I know that it can be daunting leaving your furry little pal with someone you are not familiar with, but I can assure you that your dog will be treated with the utmost care and affection. I have a ton of experience in looking after dogs. I have two dogs myself and their happiness is extremely important to me. This is why they get long walks, grooming, lots of play time, and sources of entertainment whenever I'm not around. | Since childhood we have had pets, particularly cats. Since moving to the South West from London in 1990 I have spent 10 years on a farm near Milton Damerel where I first cared for dogs and larger farm animals. The dogs were a Border C ollie and a German Shepherd. In the past 20 years I have cared , for up to a week at a time, for my friend's dogs they were chihuahuas, King Charles Cavaliers and a lurcher. Currently I live with family where my main animal duties include caring, walking and administering medication to our 10 year old German Shepherd. She is quite active but suffers from the arthritis this breed is prone to which requires anti inflammatory drugs. I take her for 2 walks a day and even at this age, try to teach her new commands.
