Elderly Care in Pickering

| I've been in and out of the care sector my entire life. I originally qualified out of University as a Social Worker I then went on to work in a number of residential care homes and as an in home carer until I retrained as an aromatherapist in 1996. After having my daughter I set up my own business See Change in 2005 doing aromatherapy massage and more recently have added decluttering and tidying. When I couldn't run my business during the pandemic I qualified as a full time Support Worker at the Wilf Ward Trust and worked in that capacity for a year. I am currently working toward my level 3 qualification in Counselling via York Learning. Additionally, I am a Samaritan and the Deputy Director for Volunteer Support at the Scarborough branch. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my daughter in Edinburgh, playing with my cat, going to the theatre or reading. I'm looking for care work, specifically looking after the elderly or those with lifelong disabilities, including those with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, on an ad hoc or semi-regular basis in and around Pickering in North Yorkshire.
