I first began caring for the elderly personally for my late mother-in-law in ####-####. She started having Dementia so I helped her run her household and called round every day. Inevitably my family moved in with her as she could not cope with looking after herself. Unfortunately, she died. But since then, I do have an empathy with the older generation. I worked for a charity (####-####) in the Mablethorpe/Sutton-on-Sea area which I enjoyed. The only reason I left was ill health. I had gallstones and thyroid problems at the same time. I had surgery for the gallstones in 2011 and radioiodine for the thyroid in 2012. I know I am very fit for my age as for the last 3 years, I have been cleaning holiday accommodation in a holiday camp, but would rather do more personally involved work.
