I am originally Kenyan but I moved to Scotland in 2020. I would describe myself as a patient, empathetic, kind and a good communicator. Back in my country I did some volunteer work in an elderly care home during my school holidays. When I moved to Scotland I became a young carer to my step-father who is diagnosed with Leukaemia, COPD, Asthma, Osteoarthritis, Diabetes and Acute Kidney Infection. I am currently studying nursing at the University of the West of Scotland, and I have attended a few placements. My precious placement was in the elderly assessment unit in the RAH. This elevated my passion for caring for the elderly. I am committed to providing care that is tailored specifically to my clients needs, and creating a positive impact on the lives of anyone who need support and care. I also want to improve my skills by learning from the more experienced colleagues.
