| I have 11 years experience in the Health and Social Care Sector. I particularly enjoy working with Dementia. It has always been a very big interest of mine, so much so I have the highest level NVQ in Dementia Care. I worked in a Dementia Home for 8 years before moving away from that area.

| Having worked at the hospital for over 3 years and also provided care for my family, I know how lonely and difficult it can be for the elderly which is why I’d love to help brighten someone’s day! I specialise in dementia care and can understand how the ailments that come with age can get someone down, but I love building relationships with people and making them feel apart of something again. I’m more than happy to take someone out for the day (after making sure their hair is gorgeous first), dusting round the house and doing activities that they enjoy such as games, gardening, gossiping, art etc. and I’m always up for trying something new!

| I have 4 yes care experience 2 of those years were live in and clients with dementia. I have also done care for an end of life patient in his own home. I am currently doing community care a d attend clients home for varied duties.

| I have had more than 20 years experience in the care sector and I have been working with a variety of care needs ranging from young people,adults with dementia, and the forms of disabilities! I started working as a live in carer 10 years ago and fell in love with it as it gave me stability and continuity to look after a particular client. I'm honest,reliable and dedicated to the job and always strive to achieve more!

| After caring for traumatised children for 6 years, I knew I wanted to care for the elderly. Caring for young people was extremely challenging, and rewarding at the same time. However, i feel my skills are more appreciated by the elderly. Working with adults and elderly has been extremely rewarding and i am very good at building good relationships with clients. I've always been a happy jolly person who loves to sing coming from a church background singing in a choir and also playing music in church.. I have worked in care with the elderly for 4 and a half years now and built fantastic relationships with my clients, working for a private care company. I visit their homes in mornings helping out of bed, washing, dressing, providing breakfast and medication. Go back and help them get ready for bed and help into bed aswell as providing lunches and tea calls. I also have experience with peg feeding, hoisting, stoma care, dementia and end of life. My clients have nominated me also several times for care of the month award.. I'm also an experienced driver with an ability to navigate anywhere.

| I am trained and experienced in working with spinal code injuries, dementia, peg feed, moving and handling, diabetes, MND, companionship, medication administration, mobility, household chores, just to name a few. I am a fast learner and very patient and caring.

Prior to the care professional I volunteered to assist my grandfather who suffered dementia. This exposure helped me to have a great passion to make a difference in people's life.
