| UPDATE My name is Fiona, I enjoy helping others, encouraging others to be independent in there own homes , keeping them company, helping with chores ect I have many years experience helping my elderly neighbour (99 years old) helping with shopping, housework, sorting letters and phone calls to ect , I also have care experience working as a caregiver going in to elderlys homes, feeding, house work, companionship, experience with dementia ect

I am passionate about making a difference to someone's life, to enable people to maintain their independence within their own homes, and to help them enjoy life to the full and follow whatever interests they have. I was brought up in a house where we cared for my grandmother so caring became a way of life that I enjoy. I looked after both my mother and father. My mother had a stroke in her fifties, was partially sighted and at the end of her life suffered from terminal cancer. I managed to keep her within her own home until the last few weeks of her life. I nursed my own partner who had terminal cancer for 6 months at home following his wishes that he did not want to go into hospital or a hospice. Lately I was responsible for the care of an elderly gentleman who suffered from dementia and was partially sighted. We enjoyed many days out, even if it was just for a drive on a cold winter's day with a picnic and a flask of hot soup in the car. I love the difference a gentle word can make, just listening to what they want to do but also encouraging them to do more than they think they are capable of. I love life and am extremely patient, honest and trustworthy.

| I have been working in Domiciliary Care for 4 years. Looking after seniors in their own or family’s homes. I have passed all relative training including Dementia Care. I am looking to work in Stratford Upon Avon area for 10 - 15 hours per week. Can work some nights and alternative weekends.

I hold a care certificate,and level 2 and 3 in understanding mental health in adults,children and young people. I have 6 children,so ideally would like to work between the hours of 9:30-2:45,but I do have room for flexibility.

| I am dependable and flexible, I am available to do calls throughout the day, am alI have worked with many medical and physical issues including dementia and mental health illnesses, all of which I find very rewarding. I am available to do any visits throughout the day, I am also available to do evening care and over nights(waking or sleeping). I am also available to do emergency call outs, if you are not local and you need someone to check on your loved one. Also shopping, cleaning and laundry, companionship, take out somewhere instead of being stuck in all day, etc.

I offer companion calls, meal preparation, shopping and errands , cleaning and housekeeping. I also offer some personal care.
