| I am an experienced care assistant. I am bubbly, honest, hard working, enthusiastic, reliable & trustworthy. I love animals. (I have my own horses and dogs). I Love people, am a confidence giver. Bags of common sense. Background in Care, Hospitality & catering. Trained as a chef, Completed NVQ2 in Health and Social Care, NVQ 2 in Food preparation & cooking,NVQ 3 in hospitality and catering, NVQ2 in Dementia Care and recently completed NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care. Ive worked in Domicillary Care for the past 4 years looking after people in their own homes and prior to this in a residential home part time and working in an army barracks in the Officers Mess. I Have been self employed for 2 years. I own my own car.

I have worked with elderly ladies before. I started as a companion but over the years of my employment my client became forgetful and my role changed into a more caring role. In the last six months of her life, I attended to her personal needs as well as keeping her finances and day to day living requirements. I have no qualifications but I am very passionate about caring for the elderly. I then went on to work with a 90 year old lady who had dementia. This was very rewarding but I had to leave as the job was nights only and my family life was suffering. I still visit her every week as a friend. I am currently working in a residential home which has given me experience with all aspects of personnel care. I also have meds, moving and handling and fire and safety qualifications and am continuing to obtain more qualifications.

| I have been caring for many years for many illnesses including MS, Cancer, Parkinson’s, dementia etc. The lovely lady I have been caring for for the last 18 months, is suffering from Vascular dementia has now, sadly, moved into residential care. I now have some part time hours available. I love the job I do & can assure you of caring, helpful, patient, willing attention. I am able to provide reference.
