Companion Care West Berkshire

| I am an experienced Dementia/Alzheimer’s Companion with well over 20 years of experience. This is an area I am familiar with on a personal level as well as professionally. Previously I have worked in Education, including in Special Needs Schools and hospital placements. I do not drive so I am better suited for clients who need a companion who can spend some quality time with them rather than just dropping in for an hour or who feel comfortable using trains or taxis. I have covered Waking Nights, Respite, Live-In and Sleepovers also and these roles interest me too. Daily bookings for a minimum of at ‘least’ 4 hours per visit are preferred. I am English and well spoken, this will help those who have hearing difficulties. Please ask for references if you’d like to know more about me and my work ethics. I can help with the administration of medication. Many Alzheimer and Dementia patients battle with depression and I strive to keep them feeling safe, content and understood. Entertaining them and stimulating them with trips out, even pursuing hobbies. (For my own safety and security, I suggest a meet before agreeing to bookings.)

I am drawn particularly to elderly care, deriving fulfillment from this. Knowing that I can support, care for and offer companionship.

I have gained my level 2 Adult and Social care certificate. I have personal care and medication giving experience but am looking more for a companionship type role now. My previous background is in wedding and events so I am quite a social person and enjoy getting to know people. I am organised, punctual and reliable and enjoy planning!!
