I am involved with care and nursing since 1993 after finishing intensive course for auxiliary nurse and started to work in hospital environment. Since then I was involved with elderly & child care and with people with various disabilities: from Spinal Injury and Cerebral Palsy to Parkinson's and Down Syndrome. Nowadays I work mostly as Live-In Carer to people with brain injury, Parkinsons and dementia.
I also have Business & IT degree if client needs any help with his/her business or computers, and Masters in Assistive Technology (up to the diploma stage) to help client to live more independently at his/her home by using this technology (anything from special software & hardware to hoists & electric wheelchairs).
As I am often looking after client's house and ... animals, here are a few words from a manager of one of the agencies I've used to work for: - "ALL CREATURES GREAT & SMALL AWARD" won on 10 th Dec 2007. - "This is presented to the Carer who has boldly gone where no Carer has gone before - not only providing Live-in Care services to clients, but also Home Carer services to various unusual animals - living inside and outside of the clients home."
