My name is Yaw and I am an incoming student at UCL School of Pharmacy this September; and would like to apply for to become a tutor for your company. As a student I have always thrived to support others around me. This has been shown through running sessions with my peers after school during my GCSE years to students in my year that were struggling with Chemistry, English and Maths. Liaising with teachers we were able to craft a plan to help these students succeed and eventually they passed with grade 7s and 6s respectively. This is a trait that has continued into sixth form. Once again I held small sessions with peers who were struggling writing their personal statements and A level physics. As a very bubbly character I believe myself to be relatable and can simplify ideas to its bare bones and slowly build on the foundations to help students understand. This approach has been tried and tested and I am pleased to say that I’m proud of what I have helped these students achieve. Now I’m looking for an opportunity to help give back, present a challenge to me and permit others to succeed.
