Hello! I'm hoping to help you or your child excel in written communication. That may look like improving reading comprehension skills in History class, practicing identification of evidence to make a strong argument for an English paper, brainstorming meaningful and concrete stories for a college essay, strengthening foundational grammar competencies for standardized tests, or any combination. I approach tutoring by assessing students' strengths and weaknesses, and then developing a targeted curriculum to support problem areas. For standardized tests, I also work on increasing students' ability to focus on the test without burning out. In addition to English/Language Arts, I can support primary school students in maths. I have experience working with students on a variety of fundamental topics, and am further supported by a degree in developmental psychology that supports my understanding of children's cognitive abilities and needs throughout their development.
