I have recently graduated from Warwick University with a 2:1 in Comparative American Studies. I am enthusiastic, confident and love working and spending time with children.
I have a significant amount of voluntary and paid work experience with children and am fully DBS checked. Most recently, I was a mentor on a scheme at Warwick University called Warwick Sutton Scholars, which provided academic support to young people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. I mentored a group of 10 children and was required to organise engaging, education and age-appropriate activities that inspired enthusiasm I also had the opportunity to volunteer with Homework Zone in Montreal which is an organisation that provides extra academic assistance for disadvantaged children. I was paired one-on-one with a child for a large proportion of the time and that allowed me to quickly and efficiently understand what a support a child needs and how best to work with them in order to ensure the child is comfortable and inspire greatness in them. I also took part in a Reading Recovery scheme that helped children in local primary schools who needed reading assistance learn to read confidently. This, along with work experience in a pre-school, has provided me with significant Early Years experience.
