I am a native German speaking student from a small town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, who is living with a family from West London right now. The stay is part of my Bachelor of Education studies at the University of Paderborn. As a tutor at a private tutoring school called “Schülermeeting Geseke”, I have seven years of experience in teaching subjects like English, German, French, Latin and Math to pupils, students and professionals who want to improve their language skills. At “Schülermeeting Geseke”, children come to our institution after school in order to receive help for subjects, class tests, exams and, of course, homework. We assist and help them to become disciplined students that overcome their weaknesses. Moreover, I have had internships in German Elementary and Grammar Schools, as well as experience as a private guitar teacher. In the wake of many refugees arriving in my hometown Geseke, I stepped up to the mark and instructed council staff to better communicate in English. My work experience includes teaching students in evening classes to prepare for their “ZP10”, which is comparable to the GCSE exams.
