My name is Joana and I am a Portuguese-born architect, writer and researcher living in Edinburgh. I will start a Masters by Research this year at the University of Edinburgh – School of Health in Social Sciences – followed by a PhD where I will study the impact of the way that the media is delivering the message of Climate Change on children’s mental health and well-being. I am looking to welcome and tutor students who love a dynamic storytellers' approach to teaching. Our communication and understanding of the world is made through stories and it's vital that we figure out how to replace a narrative that isn't working anymore with a new one! I want to offer a tailored and personal approach to each student and help them not only get the best results but also enjoy the process of learning and gain curiosity about the subject.
