My previous experience with GCSE and A-Level students is within English Literature mainly, and as a mentor. Studying English Literature to Master's Level has given me a strong grasp on the analytical skills, critical thinking and techniques for close reading that underpin successful writing in this subject. I'm willing to really take the time to work through a students' exemplar work with them to make room for improvements, as according to their own exam board's grade specifications. I am also open to supporting a student with English Language up to GCSE, as this the level to which I have had previous experience mentoring and supporting students with their work (I also studied it up to GCSE level). I am passionate about the subject, but more importantly I'm passionate about people, and have an approachable, relatable and encouraging attitude that can help you improve your responses, essays and exam techniques, which is why I've signed up to offer to tutor during the pandemic.
