I have many years of tutoring experience, initially working in a tutoring centre, teaching children aged 4-15 English and maths. I also planned lessons. I currently work as an individual needs assistant in a primary school, working with an efl student and a child with asc and dyslexia. I write a personalised curriculum for one child and assist the other in lessons, and have introduced sensory techniques to improve focus. I have also tutored peers up to A Level in English Literature. My essays for A Level are currently in use as examplar pieces, and I scored between 98 and 100% in all work. I proof and edit university essays for others as well. I am confident helping with KS1 to A level English, and have experience teaching English as a second language. I currently do a lot of phonics work. I have experience working with children who have ADHD, ASC and Dyslexia, as well as mental health difficulties. I believe that a positive attitude and mutual trust are key in aiding learning and find I am able to help even the most anxious children improve.
