I have been an English teacher for 4+ years with experience in both the New Zealand and UK curriculum. I have taught Key stage 3 & 4 as well as A levels. I am extremely dedicated to my job, and I have a unique style of teaching that enables learners to succeed no matter the circumstance by personalising each lesson to their area of focus and diverse style of learning. As a secondary education teacher, I strongly believe that fostering critical thinking skills is at the heart of what we do in education. I am committed to giving students the tools they need to see their own value, analyse information and situations, and effectively solve problems. I have undergone distinguished training and mentoring at The University of Auckland that has provided me with the fundamental skills, methodologies and strategies to enable student success. I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, consistency and high expectations to every lesson. Students will feel capable, confident and self-assured with the progress they are making.
