Hello, my name is Alex. I am a GCSE Biology and Chemistry tutor. I have a flexible and adaptive tutoring style in order to support students in the areas where they need the most help. However, I am rely on practical and surefire methods to generate the best results. My tutoring style prioritises engagement with the student so they can take on an active role in lessons. For example, this may be done through creating revision resources together, answering practise questions or testing the student's understanding of a topic. This is then supplemented with my own explanations and teachings to develop their skills and knowledge. For the months leading up to the GCSEs, I tutored Year 11's at my own school in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Although I am grateful for the experience, the restrictive nature of the tutoring sessions led to a desire of greater control of tutoring lessons, as I would have the capabilities to change lessons according to the student's need.
