I have over 20 years experience of working with people who have learning disabilities and also visual impairment , I can use some makaton sign language and am aware and have used pecs symbols. I am a very patient person, calm and softly spoken , which I feels works well with people and believe in taking time to get to know the person whom I am working with. I work in a very person centred way, as this is the way to work with everybody. I also have experience of working closely with the elderly as I helped cate for my elderly mother who was visually impaired and hearing impaired.
