Previously I worked as a nanny in central London doing various jobs for 11 years before I had my daughter in 2002 before moving onto fostering. As a foster carer I have cared for children with varying degrees of complex needs. The last two children were greatly affected by their conditions. I met and cared for a newborn in hospital until he was able to join my family at home. Whilst on SCU I realised he was blind. He came home with severe developmental delay. bi-lateral brain damage and severe visual impairment needing a lot of medication. I cared for him until adoption in 2016. Since then I have a toddler with pre-diagnosis of Autism who suffers very high levels of Sensory Processing Disorder my last fostered child was premature and at 3years was developing at approximately 8 weeks. My experience as a nanny is varied on a wide scale including nannying, night nannying, proxy parenting, tutoring for upto 7yrs during the pandemic and sleep training. Helping children through their developing age and stage of development with immaginative and structured play.
