Hello, My name is Sophie and I am 18 years old. I have been studying at a University in Liverpool this year, but have decided that this is no longer the right environment for me. I have been brought up with a severely disabled family friend, and have been caring for him for a few years on and off. The parents would pay me to keep him entertained, to wash and feed him but mainly make sure he is having a good time. I also volunteered for 2.5 hours every Thursday afternoon at a School in Cambridgeshire. I would be a classroom assistant for children aged 5-10, each with different disabilities and special needs. I did this for 2 years. I also volunteered at a playscheme in Hertfordshire for a couple of summers as well. I nannied for a 4 year old boy the summer of 2014, and although he didn't have any special needs, it gave me more experience of the age group and allowed me to understand the requirements necessary of me. I am available now, and am away June 22nd - July 24th but then am available whenever. I live at home in Digswell, Welwyn so I am local. Hope to hear from you soon! Sophie.
