I previously work at a special need school for around 4 years as a teaching assistant however also volunteered before that at another special needs school. I work very closely with children that have a variety of needs. Within my experiences I have worked with PMLD, SLD and and autistic children. My Task is to support the teacher throughout the day. Some of my daily duties include changing, giving medication, hoisting and setting up feeding pump. My role Is to work one to one with students, interact with each student by using intensive interaction, encouraging them to do certain activities and task. Whilst working I do get some challenges however I am able I help students when in crisis or distress.
