I have worked in health and social care for over 25 years, more recently.I have taken this opportunity to go back to my roots and take the plunge and work for myself as a self-employed support worker. For the last 4 years I have cared for my disabled mum. In the current pandemic she will be isolated and vulnerable and so I have used my knowledge and skills to set up a support network and care plan. It’s hard to feel that staying away from them is the best thing you can do but we must protect those who are vulnerable. I have set up this service to offer the same for other people. I know from experience that it is hard to find reliable and consistent support and I can offer this as it is me organising and providing the support. I can create a personalised support plan which will incorporate as little or as much as you’d like. I offer the following services: • Doing your shopping • Basic cleaning/ household chores • Tidying the garden • Collecting prescriptions • Preparing a simple cooked meal or a light lunch or I can source meal delivery • General daily check to have a chat and see if there is anything extra needed or help with any concerns.
