I have an autistic brother who is verbal and an Austic sister who is non verbal- I raised them both and this is where my initial experience came from. Since then, I have been a nanny to many children with special educational needs ( autistic, adhd, dyslexic, mental health issues etc). I work very well with all children but my experience with autism has allowed me to possess a patience and calmness that allows me to work very well and effectively with them.
