Hey i'm Sarah, i have only worked with one child in my career as i mainly deal with the elderly but as terrified as i was becoming a nanny for a 5yr boy with cognitive impairment i loved it, i loved him and he loved us hanging out, he even called me miss sarah. I don't have a lot of experience with children but i do with so many other disabilities and trauma, plus adults are just big kids anyway lol. I have worked with spinal cord injuries for the past, before that i was working with the elderly, mental health, developmental delays and physical activity, im currently leaving a lone working night care postion occupying 50 residents. I have a resent DBS check and happy to provide evidence on request.
