I have been working with children and young people with SEN since 2007. I began my career working on a council run play scheme in Croydon and then moved onto a special needs school in the borough. This school was a special school for SEN students with a wide ranging array of disabilities, including ASD, behaviour that challenged, complex needs, Down syndrome among others. I worked here for 8 years before I moved onto a special school in Sutton after completing my PGCE course and teaching my own class. I moved on to another school in Lewisham before joining my current school, also in Lewisham, where I teach my class on Mondays and TA for the rest of the week. I have been involved in music, dance and drama events at all my schools and I am particularly passionate about those with SEN accessing the community.
