I was a volunteer for close to two years with a charity that provided entertainment and short term respite to children and young people with disabilities and special needs. I am currently working as a relief support worker for a company that provides care and support for people with Mental Heath Disorders and previously worked with Adults with Learning Disabilities. I considered training as a special needs teacher, so I have experience with children of all ages, including young babies, including those with a variety of learning difficulties and physical disabilities. But I am now in my final year studying to be a Speech and Language Therapist, where I have gained more clinical knowledge about a variety of conditions that may impact a persons communication and feeding abilities.
