I work as part of the team at community dental services in Morecambe. I have been working here since 2017 as a special care dental nurse. I have relevant up to date child and adult safeguarding training, awareness of data protection, information governance, I have basic life support and first aid training. I am aware of the child protection and safeguarding police: and able to respond accordingly where a child or vulnerable adult protection issue is suspected. I am extremely patient focused and have a commitment to a high standard of patient care: I am exceptionally organised and have effective planning skills to provide a smooth running of my work, I confidently on my own and I am accountable for my own work. I have a keen interest in working with special care patients. I have attended a course provided by Maxcourse to broaden my knowledge on the patients that I treat, I would like to continue develop professionally in these areas and progress into completing my special care post qualification. I have contributed to the service personally over the last four years. I have introduced step by step instructions for special care patients on how to brush their teeth. These are now in circulation and being used within the service.
