My auntie whom I lived with until moving to university ha special needs, so I have a very good understanding and experience of how home life is and may be different. I have also cared and babysat for a down syndrome boy for many years, and also have worked in a few Special needs schools, caring for children with a range of severe needs from the ages of 4-19 years. At the age of 18, I volunteered to be a 24 hour carer for a older teenage girl, whom I had to do everything for, this was a great experience . I have a passion for caring for children with special needs, committed to ensuring they feel loved and valued, the same as any other individual.
