I started my support care work in a residential school, for children and young adults with autism and additional support needs. I have 12 years employment with the same service provider. I was working in supported living for young people and adults age 5 to 65. They are very challenging, but very rewarding when supporting to reach their goals and achievement, Playing a part to promote and support, to encourage and enable each child/adults self esteem, in leading a life of positive development and providing emotional and social support. All of us deserve to be safe and feel safe no matter of ability or disability, Knowing I can help in any way is very rewarding, we all have to earn a living, but enjoying doing it is a plus, and making someone's life better is a great achievement for me.
