I have worked in a residential home for 6 years, working with deaf young people with challenging behaviour aged between 12-25year olds. My current role is working with registered deaf/blind children with other complex needs on a 1:1 basis in primary schools. I have been doing this role for almost 5 years. I have experience working with nursery children, young people and young adults. I have NVQ 3 Health and social care, level 3 British Sign Language and I’m competent using sighted guide due to working with a blind young man for the last 5 years. I have experience administering medication and I am first aid trained with St John Ambulance.
