I’m a 26 year old Learning Disability Nurse. I qualified In October 2014 and became the school nurse as at a a special needs school for 3 years. I have spent the last 2 years travelling and living in Australia - while working in care units/ I’ve spent a lot of time in different settings; respite, residential, challenging behaviour units for both children and adults and in the community. I have a lot of experience working with individuals who have diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and more. I have experience working with individuals who have Gastronomy tubes, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. I have experience and knowledge about medications and the ways they are administered. I’ve worked in a general hospital as a care assistant so I gained skills with patient’s personal care. I am caring, compassionate, very committed and patient. I have good people and great communication skills. I am very passionate about supporting people with additional needs and their families in both their family home and the community.
