I have a younger sister with Downs Syndrome; who i have helped care for for 10+ years, including stoma bags, tube feeding, etc; I also have a young nephew with autism in which I help with any behavioural issues. I have worked in a special needed school as a classrom assistant; and helped young people up to 19 years old, with different special needs like ADD, downs, autism, epilepsy etc. I also done drama therapy in the sensory rooms with the young people; to help improve both their senses; and put their mind at ease when they feel a little overwhelmed. In my opinion, there is nothing more rewarding than building a friendship with a child; or adult with special needs; and it also reminds me of my younger sister, who I would do anything for. I am so passionate about working with people; especially with special needs and I know I would be perfect to help due to my patient, and nurturing qualities
