Psychology student at Royal Holloway SEN teaching assistant, through Claris Education (part time) (November 2020 - present ) Key Achievement • Helping children with learning difficulties get back into routine after lockdown • Creating one to one plan to improve children behavior • Guiding speech therapy sessions • I was able to gain experience with working with children with challenging behavior, ADHD, autism, speech difficulties • ABA Tutor (part time) (February 2020- September 2020) Key Achievement: • I had the opportunity to work with an autistic child, as I was worked as an assistant ABA therapist. As an ABA assistant therapist my main task was to utilize this person-centered program by encouraging positive behavior. • I monitored and took accurate data of positive words for example using words more than targets. • I also was able to support individuals during times of challenging behavior, for example I had an individual who used to bite herself when frustrated however we overcome this behavior by using positive reinforcement.
