I am currently studying primary teaching at Stranmillis and I am very passionate about helping and caring for other. I am a very compassionate, friendly, approachable, trustworthy person with excellent communication skills. I am also a very creative person and love translating this into ways in which I can help support people e.g. with sensory needs. I have 2 years experience working as a classroom assistant in a primary school. Within this time I worked one on one with children with additional needs such as Epilepsy, Down syndrome and Autism. I have also recently completed my level one and two of makaton and this is something I feel very passionate about and want to spread awareness about. Furthermore, I am a valued member of my youth club leadership team at my church where I often work one-on-one with a teenager with Down syndrome. I also volunteer at a youth club for children with special needs as well.
