I have a lot of enthusiasm, consideration and willingness to learn. I’m able to problem solve and show initiative. I am driven, responsible, confident, optimistic, friendly and approachable with a twist of light humour, although tactful. I have had experience working with children/adults with severe disabilities as I was a young carer & as an adult for my severely disabled brother (Eddie). He had severe brain damage and epilepsy. I would take care of his personal needs, administer meds & feed him & also spend time reading to him, singing his favourite songs & interacting with him. I also worked at Social care agency as a carer and as office administration; From 1997 - 2009. Same with a nursing home until 2017 Brief description of duties in both roles - To tend to clients individual needs as procured by their care packages, in a way that adheres to Health & safety and POVA /SOVA standards, while maintaining confidentiality for the client and maintaining as much dignity and independents as possible. Reporting anything back to my manager that was of importance; ie - the health and welfare of the client.
