I have 3 sons, 2 step daughters, who are grown up and a 5 year old grandson. I will in Church Gresley, Swadlincote, Derbyshire. I worked in a school residential setting for 16 years. I first started as a student support assistant, then i went and worked as a teacher assistant and finally i was working in the therapy department with the speech and language and occupational therapist. Students at the school had complex needs, a lot of them has autism and were non verbal. I have 2 sons which have A.D.H.D. and i now adults, so i have had plenty of experience with special needs. I have worked as a youth worker for Staffordshire youth service and while my children were growing up i also was a registered childminder. I have got N.V.Q. 3 for Health & Social Care (Young people & children) & N.V.Q. 3 in Youth work. I have recently been made redundant after 16 years and i am looking for a new challenge.
