I have taught full-time in a special school for over 6 years, only leaving for early retirement due to my husbands poor health. Since then I have tutored pupils who are unable to attend school, working with both behavioural needs and mental health issues. I currently work as a supply teacher in mainstream schools. I am immensely patient and caring, have a good sense of humour but I am also firm when I believe it to be in the best interest of my pupils. As part of my role whilst at the special school I developed programmes of work for a wide ability range within my class, planned day trips, art and crafts, drama, gardening and musical activities. I have taught pupils with a range of physical and mental needs. I have many skills which I can offer. I am keen to support someone and their family and make a positive difference to their lives. I am interested in supporting any age group - including adults. I am an animal lover and would be happy to include pet-care as part of what I can offer. I would only wish to work part-time.
