I cared for a lady for 7 years who had suffered a blood clot stroke which took away her mobility and speech, eventually her speech returned albeit very hit and miss, but we had our own tongue in cheek language! Unfortunately her mobility never returned and not from want of trying either. She was also PEG fed so I have experience with that, I just adored caring for her and sadly she passed away peacefully in her sleep, but I felt I played a part in her life by ensuring comfort and care to her. I absolutely adore this type of work it's so fulfilling to know you've made a difference, plus eased the pressures of the family also.
