I aim to provide an individual based approach working in an industry I have loved for the past 7 years; volunteering since the age of 15, with children and adults with autism has developed my understanding, patience and communication skills amongst other things. Volunteering inspired me to peruse a career as a support worker and youth worker with children and adults with special needs; I developed onto working within a school setting. I love the work I do and have travelled to other countries to learn new therapies and gain experience. I am able to communicate in a range of ways including Makaton and PECs. I am experienced with physical and mental disabilities (including autism, cerebral palsy, mental health, ADHD, Acardi syndrome, Down syndrome etc) and am able to provide emotional, physical and an individual based support. I have experience in a range of settings including a school, in care homes and own homes as well as camps. I am enthusiastic about the work I do and enjoy working within this area.
