I am an experienced childcare professional looking to branch out from a job I have been in for a long time, and from an island that doesn’t have a great many opportunities. I have focused on special needs for the last serval years and I am now looking to return to a more EYFs, preschool and infant aged children focused work. I am also hoping to work more in the home rather than in a care home type environment as I am looking for a more independent and less bureaucratic work environment. My current place of work is remarkably similar to a privet home in many ways, so I’m looking to transition into the privet sector. I have recent experience with a 2-year-old and 7 month old boys though a privet arrangement with a local family. This is mostly just taking the children out and about while their mother recovers from a broken foot, but after the cast was off I have enjoyed working with the boys so much that we have continued to take them out.
