I have a solid academic background in Psychology, rewarded with an Upper Second Honours degree, coupled with practical experience gained through internships and full time positions. I completed my first internship Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital. There, I worked in the female emergency acute psychosis wing, gaining insights into the special needs and delicacies required to work with acute psychotic patients. Building on this foundation, my internship at Algim Special Education and Rehabilitation Centre allowed me to work with autistic children aged 3 to 6, employing the VB-Mapp and ABA approach. This exposure not only deepened my understanding of neurodiversity but also paved the way for my role at Beyond Autism Secondary School. Here, I provided one-on-one support to SEN pupils aged 12 to 16. I’ve also worked as an English Language Teacher teaching English to students aged 12-40. I’m currently on the path to becoming a therapist through enrollment in Psychodynamics Masters Programmes. These part-time courses, scheduled for weekends and evenings, will not interfere with my commitment to a full-time position.
