I have experience working in a primary school as an SEN teaching assistant for pupils with autism in EYFS and KS1. I provided 1:1 support and carried out valuable interventions tailored to the needs of each child, including fine motor skills, sensory provision and speech and language therapy. I have gained extensive knowledge through additional CPD training in understanding autism and co-occurring conditions. I have devised personal profiles and liaised with educational psychologists, SENCO and teachers to provide sufficient support for SEN pupils.
