I have a 21 year old son who has PDD(NOS), Dyslexia and Dyspraxia with also undiagnosed PDA. It's been a very rocky road for us both but we are very close and I've learnt so much about ASD's over the intervening years. I home-schooled him from age 12 to 16 and this was so very rewarding, it gave him space to be himself and not try to fit into mainstream school which was very chaotic for him. I also have daughters and nephews who have ASD's, friends children who are autistic, ODD and Asperger's Syndrome, this means I have a good solid understanding of the difficulties associated with these "disorders". I am patient, adaptable and intuitive when it comes to children's needs. I can normally find a solution to every problem or hurdle for any child. I have fostered babies as well as 10-16 year olds with success and my work experience has always been around children.
